CHAPTER 1 : FLOWERY LOVE Some said that it was love at first sight. I thought so too. Her name was Irys. Spell differently but pronounce and describe as of the flower. I don't know much about the flower but through her, I believe that it symbolises gentleness in a beauty. I knew it was going to be a long dreadful first day in school but her voice seems to brighten the room. "Morning everyone and welcome to your new home. " The sweet voice, the cutie pie look. Oh my gosh, I'm feeling right at home immediately. Those introduction talks and speeches weren't really beneficial as I steal time to look at Irys. She was pacing around, trying to organise something for us, freshmens. Geez, why is orientation day always a pack of boring programmes. But I think that's the motive of it 'cos it can get so dull that strangers start to strike a match together and make a bon fire. I wasn't really involved in any of the ice breaking games. Maybe I'm just not used to meeting new people, starting a conversation etc. "We'll be having a Freshmen Orientation Camp starting next week. So I hope you guys can join us. It's gonna be lotsa fun..." I'm not really into orientation day so let alone a camp for it. "I'll be there so if you encounter any problem, you ...." I must say that I have selective listening. Did I just heard Irys reporting her attendance for the camp. Where's the registration booth? |
