CHAPTER 2 : THE FRESHMEN CAMP Love is never a smooth journey. But anyway, who said it was going to be one in the first place? The sudden love at first sight on Irys dug a hole in my pocket. The freshmen orientation chalet wasn't as cheap as I thought it would be. Initially I felt it was worth it, every cent of it, every effort to sign up for it, every anticipation to be in it. It was worth it. I was loving every moment as it draws closer to the date until I saw Irys again. The sight of Irys is a delight. It's the dung beside the flower that stink up the picture. Who's the guy holding your hand, Irys? "I would say it's her boyfriend." I refused to accept the reasoning that Auddy gave. But she does make a point. Pretty girl, cute gestures, lovely voice, friendly.. Hello? Any guy will have to be blind to miss out on someone of such caliber. A week more until the camp date and I think I had just ran out of adrenaline to enjoy the festive occasion. "I think I should give the camp a miss." Auddy was about to give me the staredown but I decided to give my attention to the sudden rush of crowd in the shop. For a moment, I found comfort in helping my mum's customers in search of the prefect flower for their perfect someone. I found the perfect flower. But the flower is not suitable for me. |
