CHAPTER 3 : DECISION ON A SPOT "Who's the pretty girl over there beside your mum?" I looked around the flower shop from the counter where I'm standing and even made the effort to move a little to look over the blind spots behind some huge sunflowers but I could not located the person whom Dong was referring to. Well, if you knew Dong as much as I do, you will practically know that by pretty girl, we're looking at people like Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson. People of a certain age yet of a certain class. But honestly speaking, I am not able to see anyone near that region of sexual appeal. "The one with the short hair in white." Now fellows, if there's one thing you must know about me is that I'm blind, blinded from the world where girls are having their hair so short that I thought I'd seen another gender. "Oh… That's Auddy. She's here for ar…" Come to think of it, Auddy has been visiting the flower shop ever since I started helping out my mum. We had been classmates since elementary school but after graduating college, Auddy decided to stop any further studies. Not quite sure what she was up to but now you can find her here at the flower shop practically everyday. I looked over to Dong who had his eyes on Auddy for the past few minutes and for a moment, I was enlightened by that idiot. By idiot, I meant it in a positive manner. After all those days of wondering whether to go for the Orientation Camp and face lovely dovey Irys and her partner, I've decided to go. What the hell. It has already been paid for and at least I still get to see her, rather than shelling myself here and visualizing her in my mind. "Yes, I'll go!" Unintentionally, while punching into the air, I think I had the entire attention in the shop to myself. Dong gave me the look and nodded. I'm not quite sure what he meant and at least I'm sure of what I meant. I'll be there. Watch out, Irys, I'm coming... |
